I'm 37 and a first time mom of a beautiful 15-month-old daughter, Olivia Claire. As if being a new mom isn't enough of a challenge with all the hormonal changes and new things to learn, four months after Olivia was born, my husband decided that being a husband AND a father was a bit too much for him to handle and left. Since April of last year, I have been taking care of everything by myself: my daughter, the bills, the entire household, the dog, the cat and to maintaining a full time job that luckily I love and was blessed enough to come back to after a year off for maternity leave.
