Walk On, Rock On: Trim Those Thighs
Walking With an Injury
Walking With an Injury

My mind is willing and dedicated, but my body is not cooperating. I've gone back to doing one mile a day again. I am so disappointed. Now my question is: To attain some sort of balance for me that I can actually walk some of the time, I'm going to walk every second day, one mile per day until I can strengthen out my back so that everything else stays in place. Is that enough to start toning the body and gettting it ready for weight loss?—Diane

From Leslie: I first have to stress the importance of listening to all of your doctors and your chiropractor about what your limitations are when it comes to activity—especially walking. As long as you are listening to them, you are not only a strong walker, but also a smart one. Now don't you for a minute second guess your walking. You are doing such a terrific job. One mile is AMAZING!!! I have always said: Walking a mile is a powerful thing —no matter how long it takes to walk that mile!
