Indy adventure since 1989's
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade, and finds our archaeologist hero (Ford)—circa 1957—battling a group of Soviet Union baddies, led by Blanchett's evil Irina Spalko. Aiding Indy, now working as a Yale college professor: His old pal Marion Ravenwood (Allen), who may or may not be the mother of greaser Mutt (LaBeouf).
Box office bottom line: Studio estimates have put the movie's five-day opening weekend ticket sales in the $162-172 million range, which could set a new all-time record.
