As Law & Order returns on Wednesday, April 23 at 10 p.m. on NBC, we'll be saying goodbye to a beloved cast member.

Detective Ed Green (Jesse L. Martin) will be departing the show. In his place will be Detective Kevin Bernard, played by Anthony Anderson. This will be Anderson's first appearance in the show.

When gambler "Bunny"—from Detective Green's past—is found dead, Green must reveal his troubled history. Internal Affairs Detective Bernard is assigned to the case. Let's hope that Detective Green will at least have a respectable exit!
