It was bad enough that Ashlee Simpson was outed for lip-synching on SNL, when the backup track (complete with vocals) for the wrong song began playing during her performance, but then she tried to blame it on her band! Also utterly embarrassing? The hoe-down-like moves she busted out with to fill the awkward moment. It really couldn't have gotten any worse.
