The Oscar winner was reportedly upset that he couldn't complete a phone call to his wife in Australia, and a poor Mercer Hotel concierge bore the brunt of his frustration. His next call was free... but from a jail cell. Crowe was released six hours later, paid a $160 fine to the state and reportedly $100K to the staffer. That's one expensive hotel phone bill.
