This is my fantasy: One day I'll wake up to the smell of breakfast cooking, coffee brewing and something sweet in the oven. But then the buzzer to my alarm clock goes off, and reality sets in—making breakfast, packing lunches and feeding the dogs. But maybe this year on Mother's Day, my fantasy will come true.
Here's a dad-and-kid-friendly menu for a Mother's Day breakfast that's easy and fun to make, and that will impress the pickiest of moms. I've included ideas for how the kids can help, with Dad tackling the harder stuff like chopping and frying.
My suggestion is to print out the menu and tape it to the fridge or place it strategically in "someone's" briefcase, and see what happens. Oh, and Dad, if you're reading this... don't forget the flowers.
