Known as the horse capital of the world, this small city sits in the middle of Bluegrass Country. That means beautiful horses and great music, but it also means an abundance of Kentucky bluegrass, which may really set off your allergies. Other kinds of grass known to cause allergic reactions include timothy, Johnson, Bermuda, redtop, orchard, rye and sweet vernal. Throughout the U.S., grass usually pollinates in late spring and summer, so that's a good time to monitor your symptoms and limit exposure.
