The 58-year-old Australian Grammy-winning singer and actress was diagnosed in 1992. Her role as good-girl Sandy in the 1978 box-office hit Grease earned her a Golden Globe nomination. She then received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1981, the same year in which her single "Physical" exploded on the Billboard charts. She has become very active in the fight against breast cancer, releasing Stronger Than Before in 2005, an album promoting breast cancer awareness, and is currently raising funds to build the Olivia Newton-John Cancer Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
