High temps can take their toll on animals, too. Take care of your pet by providing plenty of shade and fresh water. Watch for these signs of heat stroke in cats and dogs:
Vomiting
Labored breathing
Fainting
If your pet does get overheated, immerse him in cool water, and call the vet immediately. Do NOT, under any circumstances, spray him with cold or icy water.
