"I've tried topical [creams], orals, injections... pretty much anything you can think of," LeAnn says of looking for the right treatment to relieve her psoriasis. She even tried the messy-but-effective Goeckerman treatment, which is used to treat severe cases of psoriasis. "They cover you in tar and wrap you in Saran wrap," she says. "That was miserable. I went through it once when I was six and again when I was 11. I had so many panic attacks from it. It was not good."

LeAnn credits her remission with a combination of factors: working with a good dermatologist to find the appropriate treatment for her, improving her diet, exercising and managing stress. "I think taking a look at my overall health helps [me] more than just the treatment alone," she shares.
