Junk Is Beautiful

Tools of the Trade

Here's a pocket-size junker's manual for this killer country kitchen. These tools will help any junker transform and repurpose her junk into one-of-a-kind treasures:
  • Paints. The main course served up on the kitchen walls is Benjamin Moore Asian Jute. The ceiling sides are Hirshfield's Ceiling White and Devine Almond.
  • Fabrics. We were fortunate enough to find vintage fabrics to complement the decor. If you can't, do some research and find reproduction textiles that will spice up your design.
  • Stuff. A medley of junk items were used in this kitchen makeover. Among our favorites were casters, both old and new.
