2+2 vs. Alohomora
Would You Send Your Kid to Hogwarts?

2+2 vs. Alohomora

iVillage moms: "I don't think the curriculum is sufficiently well-rounded. They need math, geography and language arts as well as magical subjects. It's too insular within the wizarding world." -- Gwen

"Education is important, especially if you're blessed with magical powers. How would you learn to control your abilities without proper instruction?" -- Andie

Dr. Michele Borba, Parenting Secrets: "You're right. Hogwarts is strong in physics, science, math and chemistry, and seems to lack in language arts, but maybe that is our perception. We've become so "subject" oriented with our kids (9 a.m. is math; 10 a.m. is reading, etc.) but many schools are going into thematic learning where all subjects are integrated, much like Hogwarts seems to do."

Sherry Davey, Funny Mom: "Hogwarts appears to be the only educational institution teaching Latin these days other than the Catholic Church.....need I say more?! The motto of Hogwarts is "Draco dormiens nunquam titillandus," which in Latin means "Never tickle a sleeping dragon". Why is anyone going near anyone when they're sleeping?? Nothing good can come from this. That's just inappropriate touching."
