The premiere of the reality TV show Kid Nation, which follows 40 kids trying to create a society without adult assistance, isn't scheduled to air on CBS until Sept. 19. But the show is already controversial. When it was filmed in rural New Mexico, the Department of Labor grew concerned about the children's safety. However, the New Mexico attorney general says that no violations have been found so far, and CBS maintains that paramedics, a pediatrician and a child psychologist were always nearby.
