She's got the formal china, and he's got the barware — the face of the contemporary couple, the duo who already has it all, at least all that was once considered traditional in the world of wedding gifts. Gone are the days when engaged couples exclusively needed essentials like formal china and flatware. As more people marry later, marry more than once or marry with all different lifestyle goals, wedding registries are changing, too. Traditional retail registry stores are placing more emphasis on home-- and hobby-focused options, while nontraditional stores like wine shops are adding registries to their list of services. Everything from furniture to plasma TVs to ski gear is making its way onto wedding wish lists. Here is a list of a few new registry ideas and categories to help you get focused.
